Great
Lakes Cat Consortium, Inc., is a 501c3
tax exempt organization that was created
for several reasons.
1.
To produce cat shows as educational
events for the public and breeders
alike.
2. To
host educational seminars for breeders
about feline genetics and health issues,
as well as better breeding practices.
3. To
host educational events for the public
on the proper care and maintenance of
their pets at home, including nutrition,
care, anti-declawing, behavioral issues
and more.
4. To use
the proceeds from shows to assist in
rescue and maintain a shelter ran by the
group for pregnant cats, nursing
kittens, and kittens that are too young
for a public shelter environment,
located in Toledo, Ohio.
5. To educate the public on the plight
of abandoned animals in shelters, and to
encourage adoptions.
