Show Hotel: Super 8 Motel, 6118 Melton Road, Portage, IN  46368.   Phone: 1-219-762-8857 Room rate is $70 per night ($60+tax + $10 per night pet fee).  Includes continental breakfast.  Senior discounts are available.  Mention Cat Show when reserving.   – TICA’s Hotel Inspection Procedure will be enforced! Block was reserved through Carol at the hotel if you have any issues.

Airport Transportation:  Close airports are Chicago - O'Hare (ORD). The club has NO FLY-IN JUDGES and will not be able to provide transportation to anyone. Alternate airports are South Bend, Indiana, Valparaiso, Indiana and Gary, Indiana (all regional)

Show Hours:  Check-in will be from 7:30 - 9:00AM Saturday and 8:00 - 9:00AM Sunday.  Judging will begin promptly at 9:00AM on Saturday and Sunday. Advertised show hours for the public are 9:00AM-4:00PM Saturday and 9AM-1PM Sunday. Permission from show management must be obtained to leave earlier.

Registration: With the exception of Preliminary New Breeds and Advanced New Breeds, it is not necessary for cats, kittens, alters or household pets to be registered with TICA to compete. Registration is necessary for your entry to be scored for titles, regional and international awards. Championship cats, kittens, alters, household pet kittens and household pet adults will only be scored once without registration. Show Rules:  TICA show rules and related rules will be strictly enforced. By entering, exhibitors agree to abide by these rules. Show rules may be obtained from the TICA Executive Office. Awards:  Awards will be awarded in the rings for finals accordance with TICA Show Rules.

Health:  This is a non-vetted show. Any cat showing signs of illness, parasites or fungus will be escorted from the show hall, along with any other cats owned, housed, or agented by the same exhibitor. All entries should be vaccinated against feline viral rhinotracheitis, calici and distemper (panleukopenia), and should test negative for feline leukemia and FIV (feline AIDS). TICA show rules require all claws, front and back, be clipped prior to judging.

Kittens:  All kittens (pedigreed or HHP) entered for competition must be at least 4 calendar months old, but less than 8 calendar months old, on the day of the show. Kittens in the show hall for sale and/or exhibition must be at least 3 calendar months old.

Household Pets:  Household Pet Adults (8 months old and up) must be spayed/neutered. Household Pet Adults are judged in color/pattern divisions. If you are not sure which color and/or pattern class your cat belongs in, please send a color picture of your cat with your entry. Photos will be returned at check-in. You will also have an opportunity Saturday morning to have the senior judge make a final determination if the color/pattern are still in question.

Benching & Supplies:  Each entry will be provided a single benching cage measuring 22"L x 22"W x 22"H and are provided with each entry. Full cage size is 44"L x 22"W x 22"H. You may pay extra with a single entry to have the full (double) cage for your cat. All cages must be covered on the sides and top. You may want to bring a rug, blanket, etc. for the bottom of the cage and other items to make your cat feel more comfortable. No more than one adult cat or 2 kittens are allowed per single cage. You will need to bring litter pan(s), food bowls, and food. Litter will be provided.

 For Sale/Exhibition Cages:  For sale/exhibition cages are available ONLY for exhibitors with other cats entered. See Summary Sheet for price.

Clerks & Stewards:  If you would like to clerk, please indicate so on your summary sheet, along with any judge preferences. Licensed clerks will be given priority and judge requests will be honored to the best of our ability. Clerks will be compensated $20 per session, plus lunch and a marked catalog. Stewards may also be needed. Please let us know if you will have someone available.

For the comfort of our exhibitors and spectators:  The show hall area will be designated as non-smoking. Children are always welcome at our shows, but for the enjoyment of all, we request that youngsters be supervised at all times. Show management reserves the right to ask parents to control or remove disruptive children as well as any other disruptive exhibitors, spectators, etc.

 Liability:  Neither GLCC, TICA, The Woodlands Grand Hall, the show hotel, or any other facility associated with the show can be held liable for loss, theft, accident/injury to animals, personal property, exhibitors, or their guests.
